Just Laugh is a vignette-style musical comedy about one family’s most awkward, hilarious, and often beautiful milestone moments. It begins with the birth of Martha’s and Frank’s son Timmy, and follows Timmy as he learns all of life’s most important lessons: from the birds and the bees, to how to properly ask someone to divorce you, and everything in between.
Brandon Lambert (Book, Music & Lyrics) is a Manhattan based songwriter and actor. He's a proud member of the BMI Workshop (Advanced, Harrington Award), the Dramatists Guild, Actors' Equity and Canadian Actors' Equity. In October 2017 his musical At First Sight premiered at the Mountain Playhouse, an Equity theater in Southwestern Pennsylvania. He has also had five TYA musicals commissioned and produced by the Gretna theater. As an actor, Brandon played the role of Marcus on the first national tour of Murder for Two, and has done musicals regionally at the Pittsburgh CLO, the Pittsburgh Public Theatre and Stage West Calgary.
Lauren Gundrum (Book & Lyrics) is a Manhattan based lyricist/librettist and producer. Her debut musical PharmaBro ran Off-Broadway in summer 2017 and was nominated for an OBA Award for Best New Musical of the Season. PharmaBro had a sold-out developmental run at The Workshop Theatre during the 2016 Midtown International Theater Festival, and has been featured in Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, The NY Post and The NY Times. Lauren is a member of the Tony-nominated BMI Musical Theatre Workshop, the Dramatist Guild, and she has held residencies with Players Theatre and the Apples and Oranges Accelerator. www.laurengundrum.com
